Director of Composition
Audrey Hillyer has been a faculty member at USI since 2006. She has served as an administrator in the Composition Program since 2011, as both the Assistant Director of Composition and currently, since 2015, as the Director of Composition. At USI, she has taught extensively in the English 101/201 sequence, English 319, Fundamentals of Grant Writing, and English 105, Introduction to Literature. She has also taught for the Honors Program, the Humanities Program, and the Gender Studies Program.
Audrey earned a Master's in English from DePaul University in Chicago and is currently in her third year of coursework for her Ph.D. in Composition & Applied Linguistics at Indiana University Pennsylvania. Her research interests include the literacy practices of artists, visual rhetoric, digital rhetoric, and service learning.
