Associate Professor of Economics
Dr. Curtis R. Price is an associate professor of economics in the Romain College of Business and the Founding Director of the Judith A. and Robert E. Griffin Experimental Economics Laboratory at the University of Southern Indiana. Dr. Price earned his Ph.D. from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. He also holds a Master of Science in Economics and a Master of Arts in Mathematics.
His main research interests are in managerial economics, experimental methodology, and the intersection of gender and competition. His research has been published in world leading journals such as Management Science, Economics Letters, and the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy.
Prior to earning his Ph.D., Dr. Price was employed as a casualty actuary focusing mainly on pricing of workers compensation insurance policies in the excess and reinsurance markets. Dr. Price continues to consult in actuarial, economics, and statistical fields. He has engaged in consulting duties with Fortune 500 companies and also with private and governmental units.
