Teaching Philosophy

Throughout my career, I have been privileged to have instructors who are not only knowledgeable but endeavor to pass their passion of psychological science onto their students. These instructors stoked my innate interest in understanding the social world around me by including me in research experiences that shaped my choice of career. I aim to follow their example by creating informed consumers of knowledge who critically evaluate all types of information. Further, I seek to engage students in the creation of scientific knowledge. Finally, I strive to communicate how psychology is applicable across academic domains and real-life situations.
