Bio
Dr. Weatherred is an Assistant Professor of Public Relations & Advertising. Her research interests are primarily in health communication, specifically, news portrayals of child sexual abuse and its impact on public policy. Additional areas of research are corporate social advocacy/public relations and journalism/book history. She has published in the Journal of Child Sexual Abuse, the Journal of Experimental Criminology, the Journal of Applied Communication Research, the Southeastern Review of Journalism History, and The Flannery O’Connor Review.
