Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
I am a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana Occupational Therapy Program with a Bachelor's degree in 1999. In 2016, I earned an Master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a doctorate degree in 2018. My experience includes skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health, pediatrics, and school setting practice. The majority of my career has been working in the school setting for 18 years. I was the assistive technology coordinator for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation from 2015-2018 and hold a specialty certification as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) from the Rehabilitation and Engineering Society of North America (RESNA). My love for teaching was ignited when I had the opportunity to be a clinical educator in practice. I began as a educator in 2012 teaching adjunct in the occupational therapy assistant program at USI. In September 2018, I had the opportunity to join the team as an assistant professor in OT program. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have four children.
