EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science, University of Evansville, 1980-84.  Geography major/Anthropology minor.

CURRENT POSITION

Head Women's Tennis Coach and Instructor in Kinesiology.  Department of Athletics, University of Southern Indiana.  I recruit, oversee scheduling and budget, fundraise and develop players on court.  I also teach yoga and badminton.  During summers I am Head Tennis Professional at Rolling Hills Country Club in Newburgh, IN.

  • ITM--International Training Massage School, Bloomington, IN.  50-hour intensive Thai Massage Certificate, November 2011.
  • Evansville Yoga Center Teacher Training Program, Evansville, IN.  200-hour intensive yoga training for Registered Yoga Alliance Instructor, December 2001.
  • USA High-Performance Tennis Coaching Graduate,Key Biscayne, FL.  Level 1 Sports Science Competency Certificate, February, 2005.
  • Mental Toughness with Jim Loehr & Successful Doubles with Pete Collins, Hilton Head Island, SC.  Level 1 Sports Psychology Certificate, Shipyard tennis Center, 2000.
  • TennisUniversity Pro 1 Certification, VanDer Meer Tennis Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.  50-hour intensive training, USPTR member since 1988, Guest Clinician with Dr. Louie Capp, 1985-92.

  • Head/Penn Advisory Staff, 1999-2003
  • 5.0 NTR USTA National Championships, Indianapolis, IN (1992) and Delray Beach, FL (1985).
  • Top 5 Western Women's Open Singles and Doubles Ranking 1985-90.
  • #1 Singles and doubles player for University of Evansville 1980-84.

GRANT WRITING EXPERIENCE

Co-author with Dr. Nancy Aguinaga, "Raising Achievement through On-Court Mentoring."  Bower-Suhrheinrich College of Education & Human Services.  Faculty Enhancement Fund Award 2007, University of Southern Indiana. Funded $1,650.

RECOGNITION AND AWARDS

Great Lakes Valley Women's Tennis Coach of the Year 2001-02.
