About
I am an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana. I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2011 from the University of Southern Indiana. I have a Bachelor and Master of Science degree from the University of Evansville and a Post Master's Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Southern Indiana.
My primary teaching responsibilities are in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. I provide both lecture and clinical experience in the hospital for undergraduate nursing students.
I am a member of the University of Southern Indiana Faculty Senate, College of Nursing and Health Professions' Simulation Committee and Interprofessional Education Committee. I am the Faculty Advisor for the University of Southern Indiana Association of Nursing Students and Faculty Advisor for the Indiana Association of Nursing Students Board of Direstors. I am a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
I have over 30 years of critical care experience primarily in cardiovascular surgical intensive care and I currently practice in the post anesthesia recovery unit. I have presented nationally on the topic of teamwork and collaboration in the clinical simulation setting and internationally on interprofessional education and simulation development.
